Downloading and installing Photoshop is relatively easy as well. First, you will want to visit the Adobe website and find the download link for the software. I thought all of the recently released versions of Photoshop were pretty solid. They had fixes for long time bugs, added some usability enhancements, improved performance, and made it easier to use. They included a lot of new filters and effects of depth. The only issue with the latest version is it has keyboard shortcuts doesn’t do some things people expect. It now has lots of special keys. I haven’t used Photoshop yet on Mac OS. Also, they didn’t add a few features that they have included in other applications. This is a current issue that I see. One is that it doesn’t have a built-in blank background option. They should provide this option. The other is that Photoshop doesn’t do general commenting like GIMP has. That is, one of the built-in comments is: “Click to comment or add some text.” In the future, Photoshop should provide this feature too.

I am going to be honest with you. When I first looked at Photoshop CS4 it was appealing to me because of the features it had, but in the end I ended up using it quite a lot, but not for the reasons you expected.
In a nutshell, for me it is a bit of a complicated software to use due to the fact that there are hundreds of available options. Added to that I am not that tech savvy and it took me a good while to become comfortable with the program. All in all I think it is a great program and it has a bright future for the future.

Instead of seeing the tiled backgrounds, you now see a single brush tool that provides flexibility for precise selections.
So what is it? I would say that all in all, Photoshop Elements is a beautifully simplified photo editor for laymen and professionals alike. No frills, no gimmicks, and no unnecessary complexity, all while offering the powerful tools for fine image editing that make the pro editor proud. Put simply, it is a high-quality photo editor that is affordable and available to millions of people around the world.
