More annoyingly, Lightroom uses a gradient-smoothed border in its Live Blur filter, and Photoshop uses a completely different kind. And Lightroom now uses a more accurate Live Blur, correcting a continuity error from CS15 or so. That could be nice if everybody would actually use the filter. Well, if it’s only people who care about it, the problem is solved. Also, the gradient-smoothed black rectangle around Lightroom’s brushes is now gone. I also miss the screen ruler at the top of the app. The rest of the interface is looking fresh, and it is nice that you can now have a Clear View in the top right of your screen, separate from the editing window. This isn’t a big deal, of course, but you can now get a real “editing window” if it is, say, on a second screen, and you can easily scroll from one to the other. In days of old, this was a standard feature in Photoshop, and is something I really miss.
