Nice review but after upgrading to LR5.2 RC I think performance is better than with LR4. Working on a project with 1500 D800 NEFs, my impression is that the smart previews improve in speed while working in the developer mode – in Lib. mode however everything slows because the JPEG previews are used. So far I am not sure how the Jpegs are used as previews when you have the smart previews (DNGs) available. But have to say that I am happy with 5.2 RC although I will say bye-bye to LR the day they make it part of CC. Regards! Sren
Hi all, wanted to drop a quick update on the progress of reviewing Photoshop elements as I was previously buy the program for the past 3-4 years. Given that I will be reviewing the program in segments,
I will be going over each of the features I have used in order to update myself on the new features and how they work. These posts will be coming weekly which will give you a quick heads up on the additions to the program prior to the release of the next version of adobe photoshop elements. So as promised, here is the first segment of my review. The bottom line is that the program is getting better and better. All the issues listed were either resolved in the version I was using or will be resolved in the new version.
