HGE-mediated inhibition of FVIII/vWF binding to immobilized TF is dose-dependent and requires the presence of FVIII/vWF and surface-bound TF. Elastase does not inhibit FVIII/vWF binding to immobilized TF, even when added simultaneously with FVIII/vWF and TF. Moreover, HGE does not inhibit the ability of FVIII/vWF to clot serum, even in the presence of TF.
