Admittedly, I missed some updates on the latest versions of some lightroom templates because I was involved in the beta process. These, as well as the overall photo space in the application are pretty good. Lightroom is more robust in the end, thanks to its new content sharing tools and the feeding of tags and keywords from other professional editing and imaging applications. The Gradient Tool+ is similar to the Gradient Overlay and Gradient Fill tools, but it also allows you to fill the layers with gradients of any color, gradient, whether or not they match colors in the photo, etc. How about that? Like all of the tools we’ve explained so far, this one is very versatile and can become an indispensable tool for making content pop and brighten.
The Shape Tools give you almost limitless freedom when crafting your photos. The Rectangle tool lets you modify the size and shape of a portion of an image. The Ellipse tool lets you modify the size and shape of an ellipse. The Polygon tool lets you create and apply a series of vertices that define a semi-circles shape. The freehand tools give you the ability to create your own shapes in the picture, and the Magic Wand tool gives you the ability to create a new shape and then select it. Again, all of these tools can be very useful and versatile.
