You have to look into that because you have to configure your project to have 60 frames per second. And I think it is not worth the investment to spend time with it. And, in that, we’ve done our own optimisations, so it would be good if we were able to have others check this out and see how they want it to be formatted but I think it is a balance. First, the file format itself is changed from the previous version which supported both standard PSD file type (i.e. PSD) and Photoshop native XML (PSD; PXR; PMD) file types for the specific features within a 3D scene. While in most cases these are conceptually identical files, you will need to ensure that when your edits are committed back to the original file that the new file type actually exists. While Photoshop CC 2019 originally has PSD file type support for 3D, Photoshop CC 2019.1 and later no longer has native support for the PSD file type used for 3D. Instead, you can only use the standard PSD file type to edit 3D content, while you can correctly work with the native XML file type used for 3D.

Second, the Photoshop 3D Ribbon is integrated with Photoshop’s 2D UI. In fact, the standalone 3D UI has been retired and replaced by a toggle for the 2D UI and 3D mode. While the UI appearance is simplified, it is also more robust, with more functionality. The 3D interface is just a full screen view of the 2D UI, and has all editing features available in both 2D and 3D. In fact, it is so integrated with the 2D UI that in most cases, you can use the tools in both views and not even notice a difference in appearance.

Third, the 3D UI has been significantly upgraded, to provide more robust editing capabilities. It is really a viewport for 3D content. In 2019, you will be able to move, rotate and scale the 3D content directly from the 2D UI.

Finally, the long-time 3D export workflow will be retired at this time. You will be able to use the Photoshop CC 2019 3D engine to bake the 3D content back to a standard PSD or PNG scene file, rather than relying on third-party tools or plugins to be able to export the final scene.

As part of Adobe’s general migration to native APIs, product teams migrated the majority of their Photoshop APIs to native on macOS 10.14 and Windows 10. The primary API changes are:

Graphics APIs: Copying pixels is slow and resource-intensive. The new Photoshop APIs use a per-thread vector primitive to move information quickly. Pixel information is resampled into a fast Python vector primitive. This makes copying pixels around the canvas take approximately one-thousandth of the time.
Image datasets: The old photo library API is deprecated. Photoshop now provides an image server so that all new files go to the server before being sent to the canvas.
Native file format: The new Photoshop has a new image file format. The old format is called PSD, but this is deprecated. Photoshop now uses EXR. In addition, Photoshop now has a native version of both PDF and EPS files. Software that uses these file formats can use native Photoshop files as an output. Photoshop CC has native exports for both.PNG and.PDF, so they can be used as output files for other software that does not support Photoshop native Exports.
Graphic Layers: All new layers are composite layers. A layer has an alpha channel and a color channel. Color channels vary for different editing modes. The canvas is divided into composite layers that contain pixels of different layers.

Almost every editing tool has some degree of flexibility, and different uses of such tools make for different levels of editing you can perform. In the case of content aware tools, the data is actually on the screen in pixel rows, but the tool makes intelligent decisions about which pixels are correctly aligned to what, and provides a quick, visual way to adjust your editing.

Most Photoshop users have learned that a large part of any content-editing activity is done by saving a history of the edits and then applying them when needed—a process that helps the images maintain consistency and generally makes the edits easier to undo. In the past, saving a history was a laborious job, but the new Content-Aware Grid function is designed to work with histories to put them in context and filter the edits that need to be stored. In this example, I have a layer of large, complicated patterns that I want to edit and merge into a new layer. This layer also shows the contents of a single pixel.
