The player is given certain mission objectives as well as free-roaming in the game. The game has many more missions, however, than the movies the game is based on. The three main missions are the Casino (Bond discovers Vesper’s death), Fortuna (Bond is sent to investigate the bombing of a Bond girl’s “death”), and the Hochhaus (Bond infiltrates the Casino roof). The player’s three missions are regarded as optional, so the player is free to choose any (or all) of the missions and can skip all the other missions. No tutorials are available, and it isn’t assumed that the player will have any prior knowledge of the game. Goal of the Game The goal of the game is to locate and kill Greene. Gameplay First-Person and Cover System The player controls Bond using a third-person perspective. In the movies, Bond is always seen as standing still, with ducks behind him and the scenery around him. This perspective is altered by the game. Ice and walls, for example, makes moving through them or over them difficult. The cover system makes this even more difficult, as Bond can only get behind a cover if there is a spot, where he can stand up from behind the cover.
