My situation is this:
I have two branches, say master and development.
There is a folder that I need to place in Git.
When checking out the master branch, all I need to do is run a build, so the folder structure does not change.
When checking out the development branch, the folder structure will be like this:
master
build
prod
src
developer
lib
When merging development back onto master, I need to make sure the build folder is at the same level as in the master branch, but the src and lib folders from the develop branch go into the project hierarchy of the master branch.
