I am creating a tiny application (a small activity tracker app to monitor my fitness) and the functionality is divided into 3 major sections:

Activity summary (showing the current activities)
Personal profile (where I can edit my own user info such as my age/weight/profile photo)
Detailed activity (a listing of all the activities that I have done that day)

The “Activity summary” is a very simple listing of all the activities that I have done that day. The “Personal profile” is where I can edit my own user info, which is accessed via an edit form (I need to update my age, weight, etc).
The “Detailed activity” has two entry forms. One for entering the activity (like a table of inputs) and one for the description of the activity (this is where I need to show the various stats). This is shown in a separate form because this detailed activity form does not need to be editable (only for viewing the details of an entry), nor does it need to be available on any other pages. It is accessible via “my activity page” where it can be accessed by a link from the activity summary page.
When I display the details of an activity using the details form, I can easily display the total number of entries (there are only five) and the total number of days (there are only eight). The problem is when it is going to “filtering” the “Detailed activity” (for example, to make it show only the activity where the total number of entries is greater than 10) or to filter the “Activity Summary” (for example, to make it show only the activity where the number of days is equal or greater than two).

In the first case, is there any way that I could filter the data in the Struts 2 action classes?
