Problem with Intel ICH7? Compile Fatal Error with Borland C++ Compiler
Problem:
I am having a problem compiling a program that was succesfully compiled about 6 years ago.
I am using Borland C++ 6.0.0 and compile with the debug compatibility flag (c++fdb) enabled.
It seems like at some point, the debug information is not stored in the (relocated).obj file (as it did not get recompiled during the binary rewrite) and I get an error while linking the library.
The problem is, the error message is not very specific and I can’t tell which (2) object files the compiler are actually referring to.

While I am just using the default (non-compiled) release build in bcc32. I suspect that the problem occurs when the debug information is not stored in the executable. When I compile the original project (which also contains some C++03/New/Strings features) I am not getting the error.
I am running Windows 2000 in 32-bit mode (with the default configure options) on a PC with a 2.3GHz Intel Pentium II processor.
I also have VS 2005 installed with the same configuration and have not had any problems compiling the project in the past.
I am grateful for any help.
