I will come back to that later in this post.First of all, the plugin is easy to install.There are two plugins to download. (1) A zip file and (2) a jar file. The zip file has an “.epo” extension and unzips to a folder. It’s a simple install, just unzip and double-click the “install.epo”.A user will have to create a custom workspace and configure the plugin in the eclipse.ini file that he/she uses. There are instructions on how to do this in the readme. You can find these instructions in the zip file. To install the jar from the zip file, select the “plugin.xml” from the plugins directory, right click and select “install new” and follow the instructions.Finally, the “modify.xml” is included in the jar, and has some examples on how to modify a model using this plugin. This file is a modified example of the XML configuration that the ENOVIA MatrixOne PLM Environment uses.I will now go through some of the main features. One of the major issues is to change model metadata. In MatrixONE, the model metadata cannot be changed. There are two ways to work around this. One is to use the “Create Matrix Metamodel from an existing model” command and use this plugin to create a new, blank matrix metamodel to do any changes you want. This is just a workaround though. I will come back to this later in the post. The second method is to add a new entry in the “.view” file in the folder where the object is saved.
